Hi Members- We had about 9 people at our September meeting and I just have a few notes to share with you.
We had a challenge to bring a piece with a patriotic theme and a few members participated in that challenge. Thank you to Donna and Kelly for the beautiful pieces that you shared with us. Some of us also made a mini mosaic on cards and we had a fun exchange. I believe Maria will be posting pictures from our meeting on the blog soon. This is an activity that members want to do again.
I think I have a good list of the mosaics that members are going to have in the upcoming show. I do need final affirmation on pricing from some of you and if I could get that by October 5th that would be great.
Again the show dates that you need to be aware of are:
Deliver art on Oct. 22nd,between 8:30 and 10:00 am. Please bring in one piece unless you also have done a warm color piece for a possible grouping. The warm color piece was an 8”x8” or 16”x16” mosaic that we had as a challenge last year. If you have one of these mosaics please get me Title, size and price. All our art will be on a list that is going to be available at the desk in the gallery space.
Installation starts at 10:00 am so we really need to have all mosaics delivered before that time. The reception is Oct. 27th from 5:00 to 7:30. All food and beverage is provided by the University.
There are post cards that are ready to be mailed out. There will also be an electronic card that can be sent. If you want hard copy cards sent to you I need to know asap. Please tell me how many you want and give me the best mailing address.
Lastly our next meeting is our planning meeting. We need you and your ideas for next year. Please plan on coming. The meeting is at Rebecca Carroll’s house. More info will follow. Date is November 9th. If you absolutely cannot make the meeting but have some ideas please email them to me.
