Dee Dee Narum
I’ve been making mosaic art for about 20 years. My work continues to change and grow as I explore the many facets of this style and discover the oh-so-many options to be used as a medium. I consider mosaic an experiment in bits and pieces. I love putting bits and pieces together to see it end with beauty. I enjoy working in mixed media mosaics, fabric mosaics and found object mosaics but I l really love the beauty of stained glass. I’m inspired by nature and mostly my own flower garden which gives me endless opportunities. My work is mostly representational, flowers, creatures, landscapes. I do enjoy abstract mosaics and occasionally am sidetracked by some venture into delightful whimsy.
I live in Bemidji, Minnesota . I have a B.F.A. in Studio Art and Art History from Augustana College, Rock Island, IL.
