Kelly Holzer

I started 23 years ago working with stained glass, and then fused glass . I really enjoyed the medium, and naturally moved it into mosaics. Originally I used only glass but have it expanded trying to use all materials. I have attended The Chicago mosaic school and Took a portrait class through Donna VanHoosen. I try to incorporate pieces that have meaning or symbolism to make it more meaningful . Personalizing the mosaic to the family it goes to is one of my favorite challenges in mosaic art.

Each work I start is different , sometimes I see an image I love or a material I see and build the art around it.
