Mimi Leminh

Initially trained as a chemical engineer, Mimi LeMinh was first introduced to art while living in Paris as an expat with her husband in the early 90’s, where she experimented with many different mediums.  After spending several years painting, Mimi began experimenting with mosaics while living as an expat in Switzerland.  She has been a burgeoning glass mosaic artist for over 12 years.

She has trained with Martin Brown in Barcelona, Spain; Milena Gasparini at Laboratorio Mosaico in Monaino, Italy; Martin Cheek from Broadstairs, UK; Sue Gianotti at the Chicago Mosaic School in Chicago and Mia Tavonati in Orange, California.

Mimi’s early years as a painter come through in her mosaics where her glass cutting resembles brush strokes and convey the sense of movement in many of her pieces.

Mimi has been a member of the Minnesota Mosaic Guild since 2013.  Through nature, her heritage and her travels, Mimi’s many experiences inspire her art.
