I fell in love with the art of mosaic in the late 90’s during the “Shabby Chic” era of home decorating.  Mosaiced items were over my budget to purchase so I decided to teach myself how to make them.  Being an antique dealer and collector of vintage dishes, pottery, buttons, and jewelry, I found a natural connection to using broken china and other found items to embellish such things as picture frames, tabletops, mirrors, trays, and bird houses with mosaic.  I would call my style “eclectic whimsy”!

For me, half of the fun is the hunt for items to use in my projects!  I am constantly exploring this art form and experimenting with different materials.  I love how boundless and therapeutic mosaicing is!
