Susan Mathis
I began creating mosaics in 2003 having been inspired by the beautiful mosaics I’ve seen in my world travels. The majority of my creations are inspired by nature, animals, and tapestries. Whimsy often plays a part in my mosaic art. I use a variety of materials in my mosaics including glass beads, vintage rhinestones, stained glass, and found objects.
I’ve been fortunate to have had the opportunity to study under some of the world’s finest mosaic artists. Along with being a member of the Minnesota Mosaic Guild, I am a member of the Society of American Mosaic Artists.
